About the event
Argungu is our harvest feast. Modeled after the fishing festival in Nigeria, we will celebrate our bounties and gratitudes during this dinner.
We will feast on crops, fishes, seafood, and meats from the farm, all around the fire.
Gather at Gnarled Oak Farm, a regenerative livestock farm in Hernando, MS. Chefs Halima Salazar and Dria Price, will focus each dish on the harvests from here and from our ancestors through the magic of fire. As part of this dinner, we will continue to explore the deep culinary and cultural roots of West African cuisine and its powerful influence on Southern food traditions.
